Hosting a party at home with not much kitchen time to spare? We heard you and we’ve got your back! Here are some yummy meals which are easy to prepare without too much prep and cooking time!
This is a no brainer, aglio-oglio is one of the easiest spaghetti to make and almost fool-proof as well! Boil your spaghetti in a pot for 12 minutes and heat the pan up with lots of olive oil, garlic and herbs! Pan fry the seafood and toss the spaghetti in the pan, done!
This is going to sound like a lot of work, but trust us it’s not! Pre-heat the over and bake the chicken in closed aluminium foil for 15 minutes, remember to marinate it with some spices like basil and oregano. While the chicken is cooking in the oven, boil a pot of salt water and add potatoes when they come to a boil. In a smaller saucepan, heat butter and milk over low heat until the butter melts completely. Mash the potatoes, mix them with the sauce and it is ready to be served!
Salmon can never go wrong! Preheat the oven and start baking the salmon on a closed aluminium foil! Top the salmon with slices of lemon, dill and parsley for flavouring. Salmon cooks pretty fast, remember to take them out after 15 minutes!
This looks like a pretty sophisticated dish but trust us, it’s easy to make! Pan-fry ground beef / chicken and throw in avocado and mozzarella cheese. Spread it on a piece of tortilla and top it with another tortilla. Pop them into the over for 8-10 minutes until the cheese in melted, easy!
Another spaghetti dish on the list because it is that easy to cook! Boil a pot of linguine and melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a separate pan. Add garlic, oregano and chilli flakes into the pan along with the shrimps. Once cooked, set the shrimps aside. Melt 6 tablespoons of butter and stir in pasta, arugula and Parmesan cheese until arugula begins to wilt. Dress it up with shrimps and it is ready to be served!
You can have lots of different combination for this! Clean the bell peppers and fill them with fillings of your choice be it tomatoes, mushrooms or quinoa! Top them with some cheese and pop them in the over for a good 15minutes until the cheese melts.
This might sound a little bit more challenging but it can be done within 30 minutes! Pan fry you preferred fillings and in this case, we’re using chicken! Start off by pan-frying the chicken till it is cooked, remember to season it with oregano or basil. Add onions, bell pepper, mushrooms and cook till it is tender. Heat up the tortilla in a separate pan and it’s a wrap!
If you love your rice, this is a simple one. Seperately pan fry your preferred vegetable in sesame oil and set it aside. Keep in mind bibimbap usually includes bean sprout, carrot, shitake mushrooms and spinach! If you’d like, pan fry some minced meat with sesame oil and a dash of soy sauce. Assemble them on a bed of rice and top it with sunny side up.
Putting a twist to your usual bruschetta, use eggplants as your base instead! Slice the eggplants horizontally, toss them in some olive oil and season it with salt and pepper before popping them into the oven for baking. While that is cooking, pan fry diced cherry tomatoes with garlic and oregano. Remove the eggplants from the oven, top it with tomatoes and continue baking it for another 5 minutes!
