Highlights Of Influence Asia 2017 – Creating Tomorrow’s Positive Influence

If you weren’t present at Asia’s Largest Social Media Award Show, Influence Asia 2017, we got you covered! The biennial awards show aims to gather the region’s top 252 social media influencers for the largest social media awards show, organised by influencer marketing and media company Gushcloud and hosted by Yello Digital Marketing (YDM), was held in our homeland of Malaysia at Plenary Hall, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

Held for the first time in Malaysia after a successful inaugural show in Singapore in 2015, we’d like to say Selamat Datang to all our fellow guest from neighbouring Asian regions! Awards presenters included top influencers including Lilymacmay, Anis Nabilah, Carli Bybel, Shannon Harris, Brett Cap, Sririta Jensen as well as Liane V.

The night started off with an opening speech by David Lee, CEO of YDM and an opening act by Singapore’s very own, Lion City Boy!

Other performances of the night include Malaysia’s supergirls DEFAM, Indonesian singer-songwriter Tulus, Project EAR, Noo Phuoc Thinh and the headliner of the night, Korean pop star Jessica Jung. What a show!

Now, the for the main goal of Influence Asia – recognising and rewarding social media influencers for all that they do with their influence to create strong and positive content. The social media influencers participated in 9 categories and every category saw a total of 7 winners, one from every respective Asian participating country which includes Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Korea, Vietnam, Indonesia, and the Philippines.

We’re going to give you the highlights of the winners from Malaysia, here goes!

Top Youtube Channel, Youtube Personality, Influencer Of The Year, Influencers’ Choice Award: JinnyBoyTV

Yeap, JinnyBoyTV bagged home the most number of awards and they definitely deserve this!

The Influencers’ Choice Award is given to the top 3 influencers from the host country and is chosen by participating influencers who have been nominated in the same year. Apart from JinnyBoyTV, the other two winners were Dan Khoo Production and Dennis Yin!

Closing the show, we saw the likes of Jessica Jung singing two of her famous singles, Fly and Wonderland. Jessica wowed the crowd and she was the most anticipated performance of the night! And wowed we were!
