It’s that time of the year again: Valentine’s Day! It’s the season where people usually exchange gifts, such as chocolates or roses, plus a romantic night out to celebrate relationships and love. As much as V-Day is known as a romantic day, we think it’s time to make it more inclusive.
If you find yourself alone on this day, you probably view V-Day a bit differently. Just because you don’t have someone special to share the day with, doesn’t mean you have to feel left out of the festivities. Not sure what to do? Here are top 5 things you can do and make the most out of this Valentine’s Day!

We all need to treat ourselves sometimes and V-Day is the perfect time! Take advantage of all the “me-time” you’re getting by going for a massage, medi-pedi, facial treatment or visiting the salon. Use V-Day as a day to pamper yourself and make yourself feel good throughout the day. If you aren’t into spas or massages, do some yoga, pilates or even sports. It’s all up to you! Whatever it is, just keep in mind that if you don’t love yourself, who else will?

If you ran out of ideas on what to do but prefer to only stay at home, we suggest you to have a movie (or series) marathon on Netflix. Find movies that make you appreciate love, laugh or cry in a good way. Perhaps watch something which features your celebrity crush, at least you can spend your V-Day with your true *on-screen* love <3

Since you have no one special to go out with, why not cook a romantic dinner for your parents. Show off your cooking skills and let your parents have a special V-Day dinner! Set the tables and light the candles 🙂 It is also a great way to spend time with your family! Don’t take them for granted and make sure you celebrate these special people on Valentine’s Day (and every day!).

Do you know someone who would love to take a night off from mummy & daddy duties to spend some quality time with their partner? Perhaps your siblings or cousins or even friends? Since you don’t have any plans for the day, offer to watch their kids and be the cool babysitter. Watch Frozen, bake cupcakes and eat pizzas!

If you really really reeaaaally ran out of ideas on what to do this V-Day, catch up on your sleep. Who doesn’t love sleeping?! Take a nap in the middle of the day. Sleep in. Grab a nice, comfortable blanket and tuck yourself in bed! Enjoy it while you can. 🙂
