After finishing 16th out of 20 at the qualifying session of the individual all-around result at the World Championships in Stuttgart, Germany on Saturday October 5, she’s booked a place at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Farah Ann qualifies for the biggest sporting event in the world after accumulating a total of 49,898 points in the individual all-around event qualifying round, ending the 16-year drought of Malaysia’s gymnastics participation on the Olympic stage. WELL DONE, GIRL!

Malay Mail reported that despite finishing 59th overall and failing to be qualified for the final round of the world championships, Farah Ann is the third Malaysian gymnast to feature in the Olympics.
The 25-year-old athlete made history as the country’s first woman artistic gymnast to book a place in next year’s Olympics after 20 years. Her senior, Au Li Yen last featured at the 2000 Sydney games. The only gymnast from Malaysia who made it to the Olympics was Farah Ann’s coach, Ng Shu Wai back in 2004 for the Athens Olympics in the men’s artistic event.
