The Scream franchise has helped redefine slasher films and has been credited with revitalizing the horror genre in the late 1990s. The films follow Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) who, still suffering from the murder of her mother, is stalked by a mask-wearing psychopath who adopts the guise of Ghostface to torment his victims. The movies are the epitome of pitch-perfect ‘90s horror for combining a traditional slasher film with humour, awareness of horror film clichés as well as a clever plot!

Insidious centres on a couple who take drastic measures when it seems their new house is haunted. It is a spine-chiller movie you must watch this Halloween!

This dark comedy film is satisfying for several reasons, including the fact that the characters are unique and are hilariously sharp with biting humour of the era. The movie focuses on a bizarre, macabre and aristocratic family who reconnect with (who they believe to be) a long-lost relative named Fester Addams. He is actually the adopted son of a loan shark intending to swindle the Addams clan out of their vast wealth and fortune. This is the perfect movie if you’re looking for one that does not scare you off! Catch the latest release in cinemas October 30th!
